In April 2023, Aliza defended her thesis entitled “How (the Lack of) Representation in Television Affects College Students’ Social-Emotional Well-Being” which focuses both specifically on whether students from marginalized gender and racial/ethnic identities feel as though they were represented in the television they consumed as a child, and also if they did not see themselves, how did that affect their social-emotional well-being.
